New Catalyst H2™ Venue, Paséa Hotel & Spa

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing with an important update about Catalyst H2™.

As you may have heard, hospitality workers in Los Angeles and Orange County organized a strike earlier this summer after contract negotiations broke down. Workers have officially been on strike since July 1 at more than 60 hotels. We have been watching this development closely with the hope that the contract negotiations would be resolved at the Maya well in advance of our December 4 start date. We have been in close touch with Maya Hotel management and Unite Here Local 11, who represent the workers, and have concluded that it is very unlikely that the strike will be resolved in time. 

As a result, Catalyst H2 decided to support Unite Here Local 11 and move our 2023 edition of Catalyst H2 to a new venue at their request. After a rigorous search, we are pleased to announce that we found an excellent venue for 2023 Catalyst H2, Paséa Hotel & Spa, located in Huntington Beach, CA. All dates/times and program elements of Catalyst H2 remain the same — we are just moving the location.

Please cancel any hotel reservations you may have made at the Hotel Maya. We ask you to please rebook at the Paséa Hotel & Spa using our event room block reservation link.

We encourage Catalyst H2 participants to book their rooms as soon as possible, as our hotel block did sell out last year. We have a limited number of discounted rooms available at Paséa Hotel & Spa for $229 per night. If you call the hotel, please use the group name, “Strategen Catalyst Conference 2023.” The deadline to reserve your rooms is Friday, November 10, 2023.
